People often say that they have their favorite blog platform. But which of these two top blogs is the best - WordPress vs Blogger? People occasionally change from one to the other especially if they aren't well established into one platform or another. Many people change to WordPress or Blogger from less developed blogging platforms.


The reasons for this can range from format preferences to technical preferences. Both of these top blogging platforms have some very strong features.

Blogger and Wordpress are both free to use. But the complete version of Wordpress would need its own hosting for the blog, which costs over $5 per month on average. Point for Blogger!

Blogger does not offer the categories that WordPress does. This means it's harder to find content in a particular area. Point for WordPress!

Blogger works completely in a WYSIWYG editor. The available previews let you look before publishing too! Wordpress, although easy to write articles, does occasionally demand use of some novice level HTML. Point for Blogger!

WordPress has a big array of free themes that are designed in numerous ways. Blogger offers a few free themes - most of which are the three column variety. This is not good for personal styling or customization for a blog. Point for Wordpress!
